Amy Garbarini
Creator of our podcast “This Week on Earth.” An environmental studies major at the University of Central Florida, Amy has devoted her time to uncovering the social issues surrounding our environment. Much of her experience comes from her research in a political ecology lab where she spends her time studying the environmental effects of animal agriculture and how society responds. Amy’s favorite part about hosting “This Week on Earth” is having guests on the show that may differ in her views because she believes that is how change is made. Cristal Abraham
Analytical reporter of “Environmental Impacts!” As an interdisciplinary studies major, Cristal focuses on psychology, humanities, and education. She enjoys helping the world and the people in it and with this passion she digs deep to find out how our environment is changing, what our government is doing to fix it, and how it impacts us everyday. Cristal enjoys hearing the viewpoints of real people, even more so government officials, documenting their views on environmental crisis, and sharing it with the world so we the people can prepare for what we have to do to make changes. Taylor Meding
Informative writer of “Impacts of the People”. As an Interdisciplinary Studies Major at The University of Central Florida, Taylor focuses on the impacts from the environment on people as well as people’s impact on the environment. She enjoys helping maintain the environment as well as making sure that everyone knows their impacts to our beautiful Earth. Taylor has recently has been taking classes, in GIS (geographic information services) and learning about site suitabilities, which means she will be able to help companies plan out land use and see all the different aspects of the environment they will be affecting. Raven K. Glover
Economical reporter of “Economic Benefits and Costs”, born in a small town called Brevard County. Former Business student at the University of Central Florida, but now studying Social Science. Known to be an observer and a deep thinker. Love meeting new people, learning, observing, and thinking. Always striving to spread peace, and steer away from adding negativity. Moving forward into adulthood with all the experience and knowledge she has gained she has developed a more well-rounded view on life, and realized the true importance of society, people, the environment and having respect for all walks of life. She says, “It’s not about getting the most money. It’s about being efficient, sufficient, considerate, unity, working together, and knowing how to love.”
